Frequently Asked Questions.
What is OCYP?
The Ohio Chamber Young Professionals (OCYP) is a statewide network for professionals ages 20–40 or in the early/mid stages of their career. We’re here to help young professionals connect, grow, and lead through events, resources, and leadership opportunities.
Do I have to work for an Ohio Chamber member company to join?
Nope! While we love when our member companies are represented, OCYP is open to all young professionals across Ohio, regardless of industry or employer.
How do I get involved?
Start by signing up for our email list. You’ll get invites to events, updates on resources, and opportunities to plug in. You can also follow us on Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Facebook.
What kinds of events will OCYP host?
We’re mixing it up — think networking happy hours, leadership workshops, personal development webinars, CEO Conversations podcasts, and statewide mixers. The goal: meaningful connections and practical takeaways (without the boring stuff).
Is there a cost to join?
OCYP is free for employees of Ohio Chamber member companies — it’s an added value of Chamber membership.
For individuals not tied to a member company (or who just want to join on their own), the cost is $49 per year. This gives you access to all OCYP programming, events, and resources.
Can college students join?
Yes! We welcome college juniors, seniors, grad students, and recent alumni who are looking to start building their professional network early.
What industries is this for?
All of them. Whether you’re in business, nonprofit, education, creative, healthcare, or tech — OCYP is built to bring young professionals from every corner of Ohio together.
What if I’m over 40?
OCYP is specifically geared toward young professionals, but we love having seasoned leaders involved as mentors, speakers, and supporters. If that’s you, let’s talk!
